Another super Joss Whedon production

After Buffy, and Firefly, I've been waiting for that perfect series from Joss Whedon (this is before Dollhouse). Fortunately, he came out with this sweet little number called Dr.Horrible.

This is an intentionally cheesy little musical in three parts. I was surprised to see Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Houser) and Nathan Fillion covering the roles of Dr.Horrible and Captain Hammer. But musically, everything is to be expected... in a 21st century Sweeney Todd meets Singin' in the Rain kind of way...

The music is spectacular as expected with Whedon and I was often laughing at just how funny this film was.

If you're a Firefly fan, and enjoy Joss Whedon shows, you'll probably like this one, but just to warn you, it's only about 43 minutes, and it is also a tragedy. But alas, I love this one.
